End of July August and September

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted here!  I know I'm a slacker and prefer to sleep than type.  But I will try to do better.

After Huntington we headed out to Ohio and sat on Lake Erie for the weekend it was just beautiful!  Danny picked up his first GCH major that weekend!

Then St. Clairsville, OH came up and it was a nice short drive.  Faith was awarded two selects danny was awarded two selects and Matty won a BOB under the esteemed judge James Moses.

We ended the month back in Huntington showing in rally.  Yes, you heard it here.  My brother Yoda and Marty finished their rally novice titles.  They sure had fun and brought him some pretty ribbons.  Good job boys!

Hello September!  We started out at the beautiful horse park for labor day.  Danny picked up a select and faith was the big winner picking up 2 selects and 2 ch defeats for 7 points!

Leslie had to go out of town for work that week so we spend a relaxing weekend at home.

Then we headed off to Lancaster, OH another short but fun trip.  Matty won 2 bob's and Danny 2 selects!

Leslie headed out to KC of Columbus IN where she says they had some really good food.  I dunno because she sure didn't let me have any.  This was a fun weekend where Nancy and Leslie went to see the Tibbs and evaluated Bokay's puppies...sure was a nice litter!  Faith won a bob for 1 GCH point and Matty showed great but brought home no ribbons.

Then it was fun in Charlotte, NC!  Leslie loves heading to the Piedmont KC shows.  Matty won 2 BOB's for 6 points.  Danny was awarded 2 selects for 2 points. BO won a RWD/Best Bred By/Bred By grp 2.  Rifle was 4th and 2nd.  Ditto was awarded RWB!  Fun fun weekend and great weather!

June

Well, the end of June has come and gone and now it is July. I would have updated you guys on whats going on but I have been a bit under the weather but glad to say thanks to Mom doctoring me and going to see Dr. West I'm doing much better.

We packed up and headed to Fishersville, VA the 2nd weekend in June.  Marty picked up his first GCH points as a move up special.  BO won his first point from Bred by.  Matty picked up a BOB but no one else showed up ( he scared them away).  Danny picked up his 2nd Ch defeat and won 2pts.  Yoda picked up a couple of selects.

Marty's CH certificate

Leslie and the gang headed to Waynesville, NC and she showed a couple new dogs.  Rifle won a reserve (he is a real nice-goofy boy) Annie picked up a reserve Marty picked up antoher select and CH defeat and Yoda finished his Silver GCH and retired.  I don't know what to do with him now that he is retired.  Mom has a few suprises for him though. ;-)  Oh can't forget Henry went along for this trip and was awarded BOS and a select.  Its nice to get him out every once in awhile.

Then we went to the golden specialties in New Castle.  BO won his class 2 out of the 3 times and Marty made the cut both times shown (not bad for being a baby compared to those other dogs) and Annie and Jerry were there having fun!  BO also finished his RE title in 3 straight tries.

Then on down the road and after some traffic we landed in Waynesburg, PA for 2 days.  Matty picked up a select for 0 points and Danny picked up a select for his 3rd CH defeat and 2pts.  We need to find that boy some majors!

We had the last weekend off which was good because 1. I didn't feel well and 2. It was my birthday!  I'm officially 12 years old now.  They said we would celebrate more when I felt better and I"m telling them now is time to celebrate.

You can find the gang in Huntington, WV this weekend but I'm staying home.  Don't worry they will let me know all the details every evening!

PCA 2013 and Hamilton, OH for Memorial Day weekend

Leslie, grandma, and some of the gang headed to Louisville, KY for the 2013 PCA national.  Yoda was to compete in BOB and the top 25 compeition!  Even with the judge change we were all excited.

We got in and got unloaded into this fancy motel!  Im not use to these ritzy places.

Crown Plaza, Louisville, KY home of the 2013 PCA national

We were up early because of course Yoda needed a bath and judging started at 8AM.  Sadly Yoda didn't make the cut but he sure looked good!

Congrats to my friends Cheslie and Angela Pickett on Greta winning BOB.  It was a nice lineup.

Then we rested awhile before dinner and right after dinner it was time to compete again.

Leslie & Yoda were in the top 25 compeition and Leslie pulled #2.  Her group of three had Ellen Perry and Chris Jones with top 5 papillons from last year.  Yoda held his own and performed flawlessly.  Even though he was getting tired by the end of the evening it was well worth it.

Yoda's #14 breed ribbon for the PCA top 25

Photos with judges and our breeder Paula will be posted when we recieve them.

The top 25 judges pick with Jackson---Yoda and him became good friends last year.  The crowd favorite was Tegan and Contender and we show against him alot as well.

Then early Sunday morning we headed to Hamilton, OH to finish off the memorial day circuit over there.  Lots of goldens had been finishing and we were hoping the points would hold long enough that maybe Marty could do it.

We started the day with some baths and Matty picking up a nice select for 2 points.  We then headed back to the ring later in the day for Marty.  He was quickly awarded WD but Leslie thought it was only 1pt and was nervous he wouldn't get the cross to finish.  Marty was awarded Wd/BOW and the WB was awarded BOS which gave her a major that Marty gets to share!  That is a hard way to get a major and not that Marty needed it...it was exciting to finish him with three majors and at a supported entry! The breeder judge had some very nice compliments on our boy.  It is great to have his CH done and now we will see what the future holds for this promising boy.

Marty right after finishing his CH.  BOW for a supported entry major (his 3rd major)

Marty wasn't shown on Monday as Leslie wanted to get home before the traffic rush and we were all really tired!  Matty was awarded another select for 1 point.  We are happy that he is starting to pick up some points.  He really broke the ice last weekend in TN.  He now sits at 62 points....lets hope he can keep it up!

Mom says we are off this weekend which will be nice and then we are showing for 3 weeks in a row!

Enjoy some photos from this trip.

Gray, TN

We hit the road for the short drive to Gray, TN this past Friday.

We started early Saturday with Matty and Yoda winning select.  Then we moved on to Danny the sheltie and he and Leslie won their first BOB win.  Next up was beckhamotis and he won his class and showed well for not being in the conformation ring since October.  To top the day off Danny made the cut in a strong herding group!

After the rain on and off on Saturday Sunday was much warmer!  Thank goodness leslie cranked the ac up and i slept cool and comfy all day.

Leslie and Matty started they day again bright and early and this time he ran like the wind and they broke the ice for 2013 and he won BOB for 2 GCH points!  Then it was Yoda's turn and he won BOB under Malcolm Moore and showed impressively well both days.  Then a short break to pack some stuff up and it was Danny's turn.  On Sunday he was awarded select dog for 1pt bringing his weekend total to 3pts and his GCH total to 15 with 1 CH defeat. Later in the day it was Beckhamotis's turn and he picked it up and notch and was awarded RWD.  We are very pleased that he is coming around and really showed great.  We are sure he will have a bright future when the light bulb actually kicks in!

Nothing in group for Matty or Yoda but both showed well.

We then fought the rain home and of course today I have been catching up on my rest.  Traveling and taking in everyones stories are hard work!

Keep updated here with Papillong Club of America results and after that we are heading to Hamilton, OH.  Sure hope Yoda keeps showing well for the prestigious top 25 compeition!

Spring is here!

I know I'm way behind but sometimes I do get preoccuiped and it has been busy around the house!

Spring is here not that it always feels like spring but it is.  Soon mom will shave me when she sees that it is going to stay warm enough for me to have less hair.  I can't wait for that becuase I'm really starting to get tired of my hair!

We spent the last two weeks of March in NC.  Danny picked up 5 points in two weekends towards his GCH putting him at 9.  Matty showed well but hasn't picked up any points yet...I feel he will be getting some soon.  Leslie showed a few goldens; Tease, ZeeZee, and Castle....all showed great and won some ribbons but no points!  They will all mature for awhile and may be back come fall.  Yoda won two BOB's for 8GCH points bringing him up to needing 3 more for his silver GCH.  Leslie also showed Russett a lab and she got a hard look for points in Concord but still needs that illusive major.

We had two weekends off and then we went to Columbus last weekend.  Danny showed great but didn't win anything.  Yoda was select dog on sunday for 1 GCH point so now he needs 2 more to go.  Leslie started showing Gamble again and she made the cut in a large 12-18 class on Saturday.  Watch for a few more appearnces from Gamble before she heads home to mature more.  Henry made an appearance and while he was really on his game there were some really nice border collies that beat him last weekend.  Which is ok he was just happy to go run around the ring. :)

Next weekend we will be in Eaton, OH and hope to watch some pig shows!  Keep those fingers and paws crossed as we have a few dogs that are close to finishing titles!

Until next time check out Yoda's top 25 invite from PCA!
